A hole to fill
Is there any way I could make use of the hole (generally used for an oil cooler) in my IROC bumper for the airconditioning system that would make any benefits? I don't really need additional oil cooling so was thinking I could make use of the air flow in some way.
Sorry if this is a dumb question but I don't really understand the a/c system very well. Worth asking I thought anyway Thanks Mark |

A/C needs airflow thru the condensor at all times, or it can overheat. that's why there's a fan on the front one, and the engine fan draws air thru the rear one.(operating the A/C with the engine lid up causes overheating). so unless there's a front fan, it won't work.

Thanks John, yeah I get that but what about having thermo fans that switch on when airflow at the front reduces (eg car slows or stops)?
Is there any advantage having larger condensors or evaps as long as the air flow is significant? Thanks Mark |

larger condenser is definitely a good thing, oen option is for a large condenser under the car that stretches all of the way across the bottom of the car. I think putting the/a condenser in the front cooling slot if you don't plan on doing an oil cooler would help quite a bit, and a fan would work, or just somehow ducting the airflow from the hole to/over the existing condenser would help as well.
