MFI Injector Cleaning in Southern Cal?

Anyone know of any reputable MFI Injector cleaners in Southern California? I need to get mine cleaned/flowed/inspected, and would prefer to keep it local to reduce turnaround time. I absolutely need them back within 3 weeks, so that if any need replacement I can get the car back on the road by 7/31.

Thanks!

I can't imagine that cleaning MFI injectors is any different than any other injector. They all deal with the same deposits. Try a local fuel injection shop that does Bosch.

You can also do it yourself if you want. I know Warren outlined the technic in a previous post about a year and a half ago. Search the archives.

go to the Pelican Parts technical articles section and post a search under "Ultrasonic cleaning of MFI injectors".

There is a good thread there and a chance you might decide to do it yourself....

if not, the following shops seem to reappear here

TRE Automotive, NoHo 818.509.0257
WerksII, Burbank, 818.845.2530
Ottos, Venice,
Alex Wong, Marina Del Rey,

Good luck and keep us posted

Thanks for the help, but I don't want to clean them myself at this point. I have a spare pump, and used it to run FI cleaner through the injectors when I rebuilt the motor last year. Made a nice mess on my workbench, and the injectors looked fine, but I have absolutely no clue how to tell if they are working properly or not.

So - I wanted someone who knows what to look for clean and flow the injectors, for peace of mind if nothing else. I really appreciate the help in listing the local services.

Even so, check the thread and MFI section on Pelican. There is also a section on bench testing injectors that shows the results after cleaning with Chemtool B12.

It has some interesting comments.

The cleaning brought the pattern and volume back to stock settings and saved the owner about $90 per injector (plus labor)

Red face

Kevin- I took my own advice this morning before I started working on my car and reread a section in the MFI tech articles -
I then realized that you were possibly the source of the very article I was referring to! True? Great story and info!

After reading the MFI articles on the Pelican site I decided to clean my own injectors using the solution recommended in the article. I have an ultrasonic cleaner I brought home from my office. Just mixed up the solution as per the article and it really worked. The injectors looked new and the little mesh screen inside was clean. I know not everyone has the ultrasonic cleaner so I'd be willing to throw some injectors in mine if anybody wants to give it a try...
