Feedback on Weekend Rides in PA?
Any feedback on these guys? My 3.6 engine fell through and in looking for another one, I came across their ad. They are a little over an hour from me, but wondered if anyone had any experience?

Disappointed in Weekend Rides
Try the search function. Here is a very good thread with both a seller and buyers perspective. IIRC the seller came across as a good guy, but that said I have no first hand experience with them |

Thanks sm. I saw that thread and sided with Rick. We had a nice conversation tonight and he seems like a very knowledgeable and fair guy. Just always pays to ask.
This deal will go through!

my experience with rick was very pleasant .he went beyond the call to help me with my needs. anybody in dealing with the public to make money are going to have good and bad experiences. i forgot who said it but an "educated consumer is the best customer". fortunatly i have made many auto part ebay purchases and the were all good. rick offered the best price for what i needed . he was patient and best of all straight foward and honest describing the parts.

I was going to buy a 3.6 from them a couple of years ago...paypal'd my deposit, etc.
Rick let me know that the engine wasn't up to snuff when they received it. He immediately refunded my money in total...no questions asked. So I had a very positive experience with them eventhough I didn't really purchase anything. Just one person's experience. He seemed like a good guy and just tried to be helpful with me.

I picked up an aluminum control arm a few years ago with a bad bearing from the shop and he immediately swapped it - no questions asked.

Wow! You live very close by to Wayne. Should you ever need a hand with your transplant, please do not hesitate to ask. And if you need company for the ride to Scranton, just let me know. I would love to see this place.

I bought a 3.2 and 915 from these guys, good experience.
I bought a '84 3.2 and 915 w/LSD from Weekend Rides to put into my '72. Rick was very pleasant to deal with. The motor and tranny looked as good, or better, than described. Rick was patient in working with me as we figured out what was needed to make the later 915 compatible with my '72. He forgot to send the electric speedo with the tranny, but sent it upon request later with no problems. I don't have the motor and tranny installed yet, but I have no reason to expect any issues. I would definately deal with Weekend Rides again.

I just purchased a deck lid, grill and condenser from Rick last week. He was easy to deal with, the parts arrived timely and they are everything I wanted them to be. I will buy from him again.

Dealt with Rick Bolus on a few occasions, and he has always been helpful and a stand-up guy. Seeing how you're also in PA, I would make the visit and hand-pick what I wanted....but I would do that with anyone that is within traveling distance.

I guess I should have followed up. I drove up to Rick's place (1:45 from me) and picked up several parts. Nicest guy you'ld ever want to meet. We talked cars and life for a while and then I headed home very happy. I agree with all above.
