Cost of refinishing Fuchs like original?

What would be the approximate cost to get them back to their original black anodized finish? I've got an extra set of 4 that are red that I'm thinking about making like original again. If anyone knows of a place in Atlanta, that would be even better. I heard Rennsport here went out of business.

I think around $100 to $175 each, depending on where you go. At least was that was a few years ago when I had some done.

The black is paint - the anodising is a silver clear treatment over polished aluminium (it is under the black (or red) paint).

So you can mask 'em and paint 'em yourself if you like. Time consuming but satisfying. Wurth paint (eg www.carcareonline.com ) is the best, apparently.

Call Harvey Weidman at Weidman’s Wheels
1675 Wyanotte Ave. Oroville, CA 95966
(530) 534-7903

He's all the way in CA, but he does superb work. He also hand paints center caps. I had my 8x16s redone in the original anodized finsh. Although they deeply pitted and had some curb rash, they looked new when he was done with them.

I am unable to attach an image, but there is one on my Owners Gallery Page.

I am also a very pleased customer of Harvey Weidman. You can figure about $135 for 6/7's and $145 for 8/9's per wheel. Additional cost is for trueing the wheel if needed. Also, his wife hand paints the centers which are equally well done. I think the charge for those is about $25 per center cap. In closing, you won't find a better guy to do business with when it come to Fuch's, he is the best.

Wheel Enhancement

Two years ago my car's previous owner exchanged for 16 X 6 refinished Fuchs with Dunlop SP6000's and fresh centers at a total cost of nearly $1500 from Wheel Enhancement. The tires mounted and balanced are worth about $450, so the wheel exchange was about $1000, or $250 each. Very expensive, but nice work!
