3 pin 001 experts only

please help me get this wired back correctly.Does it matter which side of T1 goes on scr.Ive been following warrens history but he doesn't show ZD1 wire attachment point.Also he shows Tc down the other end by 1K cap.what is Tc?And on the windings is A or E the end?Thank you.T.C.

your questions are a bit confusing.

Tc=T1c. that is the collector for(T)ransistor T1. (have not looked at one of these in a while. having to knock the dust off).

"T", i keep thinking transformer, not transistor. "Q" usually represents a transistor.
yes it matters.
T1E is the emmitter of the trans(transistor). it should be tied to ground.


look for ZD1 to be tied to T1E. i may need to pull my 3 pin for more help.


not sure what you mean by "A" and "E" the end.??

these things are a pain to work on. at least thes 6 pins have better lableing.,

ZD1 on mine was mounted via it's package on the aluminium plate which also carries T1.

Here you'll see it circled red:



Here's the picture from the CDI manual, I guess earlier versions had it mounted directly into the body of the CDI box.
