Delta Mark 10B + Pertronix

Not having any luck with this so far. Have seen 3 different wiring diagrams and none seem to work.
I'm guessing it could be the ballast resistor but who knows? Certainly not I.

This particular Delta Mark 10B was installed on the car in 1968 per Porsche factory recommendations at the time (no CDI yet). It was this or the Sydmur Fireball.

The Delta is in fine working order as it was recently tested by Loren at Systems Consulting. I've talked with him today and due to my short comings at things electrical (unless you draw a picture) I'm still down and out.

The car will run fine with the Pertronix unit but as of 4:00 pm EST there is no joy with any attempt to the get it up and running with the Delta (which btw is humming nicely).

Thanks,

You need the appropriate flux capacitor to complete the installation. you can get it at Oreilly auto parts here.

Since Google likes to lift photos from anywhere and everywhere it will be my pleasure to copyright every single one I take or have taken in the future.

Tom, did you ever figure this out?

sithot 05-21-2016 05:52 AM

Nobody here every contacted me. The power of Google. Why upset the apple cart? Now I plaster my name all over anything I post that's "original" in nature. For example see porsport.com and note the "ghost copyright" in the photos.

Tom, Perhaps you're skipping ahead. Does it work (create secondary voltage)?

The Delta Mark X was designed to be triggered by breaker points at the time. Did you try that system first?
