Length of Brake Line from MC to front of Tunnel at elbow? 3.2
Hey Fellas,
Does anyone happen to know the length of the hard brake line coming from the MC to the elbow in front of the tunnel, NLA part # is 911 355 607 03 http://www.pelicanparts.com/cgi-bin/...s/brakes3a.gif It looks like I need to build one  http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...211_184653.jpg TIA, Jim |
Jim, I can measure mine when I get home this evening.
Buzz me if you don't hear from me before 9:00pm. |
Oh My Brother G,
I really appreciate it, no hurry, my brakes didn't feel that bad right? Well I need to investigate at the top of the MC to insure it is not weeping from that end either. Well it looks like a visit to Napa. I did my caliper hard brake lines, so I guess it is time for this one  J |
Oh good, I am by myself this evening and need another hand to hold the flashlight...
I'll figure it out and give you the dim. |
You have the wrong part number and the wrong diagram there. That diagram is for an SC and a turbo. The Carrera has 2 lines and a proportioning valve in that section of the rear system.
The section you are looking for is pn #91135507900. (#13 on the diagram) http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1355393798.jpg If you need it #10 is pn #91135507700 #9 is only on this diagram as the alternative for the turbos. |
Oh and the proportioning valve (#12 and #11) is under a piece of fiber board between the MC and the smuggler box.
|
Strrange, but as in my pic do you see that elbow, I don't see #10 going into an elbow.
|
#13 is the one that connects to the elbow. They just don't show the elbow.
I'm going to give you a call in a bit about the parts books. |
PMed you :D
|
The trick is how the heck does one fish it thru with that freakin 45 degree bend or if it 1 #13 just straight up to the proportioning valve???
|
Update: 2 days of driving and slamming the brakes at stops. Attempted to tighten that fitting.
Well it appears to be dry, but still want to replace it: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...213_173854.jpg Now to bleed the brakes once more  |
