Wheels?
Ok,
I was back at Parts Heaven to pick up a knob for the Recaros. The upholstery shop boogered it up and because I was so quick on the draw Al did not find out about it until I got home. A quick phone call to Al and 1 day later I was in possession of a brand new knob(thanks Al). Well Parts Heaven had just gotten in their Euromeister 17x9 Fuchs replica, Al put a stock 16" Fuchs and the Euromeister on the scale and found the Euro's 2 lbs heavier. So my question is will the 17x9s stuff under my rear fenders? I will have 28MM Sanders hollow bars in the back, so what sayeth the peanut gallery? Is 7s and 9s the order of the day? Or 8s and 9s? On my way out the door I asked Al if he had any hubs and spindles that were unusable for road service, he didn't have any front or rear spindles but gave me a hub with a crack for free, sweet deal! The Euromeisters look good, even in 16s as well. Eric

I'm assuming the backspacing is right but you should have plenty of room for 17x9 in the back. Even more if you trim or roll the wheel arches. I'm running 245s on 16x9 Fuchs on the back of my '86.
