CO gas meters
Hi
Do the Gunson gas meters work. Or do you set you CO to 3% and find that your car runs like crap and then set it to 7%. I need to set mine to get better mileage. Currently 9.5 mpg. I don't want to go too lean. Thanks

They work great, just can't use the factory CO specifications to set your mixture. My guess is that the CO readings change when engine is under load, and the part throttle CO values specified in the Bosch MFI manual are to be read when the vehicle is under a load (i.e. going down the road), not stationary with the transmission in neutral. Just use the 6-7% or so that everyone else using a gunson has found to be optimal.
