Advice Needed - Cost to Re-chrome Rear Bumper Guards
Can anyone else give me a rough estimate for the cost of re-chroming a pair of rear bumper guards here in the U.S. for a '65 - '71 911 I've received one response indicating a price in the range of $175/pair. Can anyone else give me a price range, especially here on the East Coast? Recommendations are also welcomed. Much appreciate the help!

I think this sounds about right for the size. I sent a bunch of small pieces to be chromed a long time ago (10 years) and almost died with the cost...
A big handful of nuts/bolts, and thermostat cover came to around $300. I do think it was worth the cost though. Very nice! Unless you can buy them new for less, I would spend the dough.

It's not going to be cheap.
The process can produce pollutants in the air so special filters have to be used etc. The EPA really makes it tough to meets standards. There are not a lot of people still in the business. |
