Fresh air blower apart. Now what ?
Anyone have any luck rebuilding a fresh air blower motor? One of the spring loaded plastic peices that holds the brush against the motor has melted. Would it be possible to get individual parts for these motors? Do I just need to buy a new one?
Thanks, Rob 1980SC euro |

When this happened to me, I concluded that it is inexpensive to replace, so I did. <$100. However I know people do fix or rebuild them. I just figured the time involved finding the parts was not worth my effort.

Rob,
I have an old one from my 78' that quit working on me. It's yours if you want, for parts. Just pay for shipping. Or you can do like me and just buy a good used one from a reputable recycler like Parts Heaven or one of the others. I paid $50 for mine. |
