MSD 6AL-2 Correct timing light
Hey all,
Getting ready to hook up my new MSD unit to my 78 911 sc targa. Not sure how often I am ever going to do timing on my cars. Maybe a couple, and with that said, can someone recommend an inexpensive timing light option that will work for my application. Hoping to avoid the msd more expensive option, since this is something I won't be using often. Harbor Freight has some options but not clear on the compatibility with the msd unit. any past experiences and insight is always appreciated. Thanks, Gary |
I have an MSD unit and it works just fine with my 30+ year old sears timing light. Nothing special about MSD for using a timing light.

any good induction timing light will do, the ones with a degree wheel are good, might check ebay or craigs list

I have a total cheapo, 20 year old Innova, digital. And a brand new expensive MSD timing light.
They both work the same. |
Sears Model: 2134 Inductive Timing light.
