Which brake lines to get?

Pretty straightforward... got an '87 stock coupe with stainless steel lines from the late 90's on it. Not sure who made them. Street daily driver with the occasional track day thrown in.

So, should I replace them with:

A). Stock rubber lines = $84.50

B). Stainless (non-DOT) = $53.95

C). Stainless (DOT) = $67.50

Are the stock ones worth the extra $30? DOT vs non-DOT? Would I notice any real pedal feel differences between the three?

(And don't ask me if my life is worth the extra $30.)

Some will disagree, but I like the feel of the SS brake lines... Maybe my originals were worn when I replaced them, but my car wasn't that old then and the change was very noticiable.

As to the extra $30... well, we've all heard the helmet rule: "if you have a $50 head, buy a $50 helmet". But I couldn't find a $50 helmet, they were all more expensive.

I would only use rubber.
