1970 Flasher Relay

I've been restoring a '70 911E for the past year. This past weekend as I was hooking the battery up, I heard a continuous clicking sound coming from the flasher relay. Does this continuous clicking on and off indicate a bad relay or do I have a couple of wires crossed somewhere down the line. By the way, the clicking sound is heard as soon as the battery is hooked up. The ignition is not on.

Regards

Chris

Maybe its to do with the emergency hazard button being pushed, otherwise sounds like crossed wires somewhere, maybe check if it goes away when you release the handbrake.

I'll check the hazard button. Why would the parking brake have something to do with it?

Parking brake or MC brake warning switch could be causing it.

Just wanted to say thanks again for the help. I'm still not sure what the problem was but I found that the emergency flasher was in "on" position and the hand brake switch was disconnected. Turned the flasher off and connected the hand brake switch and everything worked like a charm. Thanks again.
