Help with wiring please!
 

Hey all,

I updated my 1975 911 to a C2 Turbo body and have the newer tail lights and reflector. Now my lights are not working properly, I was wondering if anyone has done this before and could tell me how to wire this up. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Basically the 1975 has 5 wires I believe (not home right now so I can't check) but the C2 tail light seems to be different. FOr example I will plug in the wires and the hazards will work but if I turn on the lights they stop working, weird things like this.
Also I don't remember, but on the C2/C4s, is the blinker yellow or red, and what about the Hazard?

Axe..assuming stock wires,etc still function...did you attach any ground straps?? do you have a test light???? did you fool with anything else on that lite system??? do the routine wiring BS..it may allow an educated question ..oh yeah, the amount of bulbs on the blinking circut may have an affect on that circut....Ron

Thanks Ron. I haven't messed with any of the wiring. I was just wondering if the wiring is different on a C2 tail light? I'm going home right now, I will post the colors that I have on my car and what's on the tail lights. I'll try to attach a picture as well. Might help you guys help me!

I can't help you with that specific problem, sorry, but have a similarish story.
Tracking down a very dim headlight problem led to finding its ground was in the mounting screw of the turn signal assembly beneath it.
Perhaps there is a ground not connected and its backfeeding through the other lights?
Mabye the connector terminals are in a different position? you could try taking one off and finding wether your getting good B+ and ground there to double check.

I think by law the turn signal have to be yellow and the brake/haz have to be red.
