I have issues! Cams for 930?
I will soon be the bane of all the gurus on this board as I will have freed up the money I need to finish the 930 motor this weekend and will probably have a zillion questions. Till then I have been staring at in on a stand in my garage and cleaning the bejesus out of it. Anyway, How hard would it be to do SC cams since it is out? I am not going to tear it down so if thats required forget it, but if it is fairly simple then lets talk. I have read that SC cams make a dramatic improvement so I gotta ask. This is about to get fun! I still gotta do something about exhaust as well. Damn, I still gotta send the tranny to someone! Summer is fading fast and I gotta get movin. Warren, are you interested in doing the tranny?

SC cams make a world of difference in driveability. there's low end response when there was barely anything before. all the rockers/shafts need to come out, as well as the chain housing covers, tensioners, sprockets, and the turbo and A/C stuff in front of the covers. webcam has about a 2 week turnaround, but they can start welding on their own cores, while you pull yours and send them in, so that saves some time.

Lendaddy,
Wish I was ready to pull my motor, I would give you a good deal on my SC cams, (I am puting 964 cams in). Always better to use good factory cams than welded-up, IMO.
