Pre 1972 bumperettes...
Fellas,
Was there any sort of rhyme or reason for when a pre '72 911 would have front bumperettes and when it wouldn't? I've seen so many photos of cars with them and without them, and I can't seem to come up with an answer. I thought at first that the S versions didn't have them, but I've seen many examples with them. I thought that just maybe pre '69 cars didn't have them on the front, but I've seen plenty of pics to disprove that theory as well. Is there a definitive answer? Thanks! -wb |

It's a European/USA market thing. Also, many of us removed our front bumperettes back in the 70's for that cleaner European look.

All of my early cars came with front bumperettes, and I removed all of them!
