Rear Wiper motor won't park as it should
Hej birds, I have a 72 T that came with a rear wiper. motor works just fine, but when shut off the wiper won't park as it should. Any suggestions as to a fix would be appreciated. I have already placed a want to buy ad.
thanking you in advance

I'm not sure about the 72 my, but on newer versions there are two fuses. One powers the wiper function and one powers the park function. If your wiper simply stops where it is when you turn it off, the park fuse may be blown. If it continues to run when you turn it off, the micro switch in the motor may not be working properly.

It apprears that the earlier cars used a different logic. I believe on power source and two sets of points. Once power is interupped the wiper will continue until the cam lifts a pin to open the second set of points which controls the park. My cam may be worn such that the lift isn't sufficient to open the points. At least that is what I think happens.
Thanks

Hey Rusty, does it park (stop) in the same spot every time you turn it off. If so, it is an adjustment of the wiper linkage position. I just want through this, it can be adjusted on the car with a little finesse.
