Can someone decode this vin for me
9117600346 I am trying to find out what the car really is because owner says its one thing but listing different details. car is listed as a 1977 3.0 carrera Thank you |

This source, Fahrzeugidentifikation 911 1974-77, decodes the VIN as a 1977 3.0L Carrera coupe, number 346 built.
Remember, that's the chassis id. The engine may have been changed out so if the description varies from the chassis designation due to engine differences, you will need the engine number to identify what is in the car now. Can you explain what you mean by the "owner says it's one thing but is listing different details?"

ossi what I meant was that the car was listed as a 3.0 but at the same time it was mentioned in the ad that it was a 3.2. After speaking with the owner it was rebuilt into a 3.2 in Germany.
