911 Carrera Half Cage needed

Guys,

I need a half cage for my 1986 911 Carrera. I already have the back seats removed and schroth racing belts.

Two questions,

1. What is the best cage for this car?

2. Anyone know of one out there for sale?

Thanks,

Magoo

Forgot to ask;

Do I need to add a sub bar under the seat to mound the 5th and 6th points for the harnesses?

Yes you will have to add sub bars unless you plan on drilling holes through the floor pans and using eye bolts and big washers ...
I used the Brey Krause sub bars which are made for our cars,although you will have to relocate your DME back a few inches on the driver's side.As far as half cages go,i would say that DAS bars are a good choice !

Cheers !

for the submount bar i can't seem to locate the exact one for the 1986 911 Carrera (Which I believe is the 930, corect?)

Whats the best way to do it is the question? I plan to have a race shop do the instalation if there is drilling required so should i get the sub mounts or have the holes drilled?

There is no drilling involved with the Brey Krause installation ... they bolt on to your existing seat rails ...
PM me your email address and i'll send you some pics and more details of my installation when i had a Das bar !

Cheers !
