919 transmission?
I bought a 76 or 77 magnesium electric speedo 915 to put in my 82 SC. I soon saw the trans flanges don't match up with my SC axles (108 mm diameter with 4x10mm bolts & 2 pins vs. 100mm with 6x8mm bolts). I took the flanges off and noticed they were 2 different kinds, one slightly longer than the other. I read the part number on one of them and it starts with 919. I looked it up and learned the 919 was a prototype clutch less transmission for the 911. Never heard of it. Maybe this prototype flange is worth millions on ebay.

What you need to find is hubs from 76(?) or 77, 6 bolt, 8mm bolts and coarse splines.
If you cant get them here I would contact Gary Fairbanks Co, Norwalk, Ct 203 866 2466. No profit to me but he has the 915 parts. Bruce |
