CIS Microswitch Help

Just wondering if someone can clear something up for me... I searched and found that the throttle micro-switch need to be adjusted to click just after the throttle is moved from it's idle stop. This is how mine is currently adjusted...

However, it does not click until this position...

Will adjusting the switch to click as soon as the throttle is applied create any changes in the way the car runs?

Thanks :)

I'm guessing there wouldn't really be a change in the way the car runs when warm, because the switch controls the CSV, and when warm, shouldn't do anything.

Thanks so much Ed!

Because my hand throttle is not hooked up, I can't prop the throttle up. Would it make sense to adjust the switch like others have said (to click just after the throttle is activated)?

Thanks again.

Simply put, yes. There appears to be too much travel right now.

Yes, adjust the micro-switch so it clicks when the throttle lever just moves from idle. As stated, the micro-switch only activates the cold start injector when the engine is cold and is necessary at that time. The job of your hand lever is to open the switch and set the throttle a bit open for warm up. You can do the same with your foot since the hand lever is not connected. The cold start injector only shoots fuel into the intake when the switch is tripped and the starter circuit is engaged. You shouldn't have to press very far on the gas pedal to engage the micro-switch.

I appreciate everybody's time spent answering my questions.

Thanks :)
