Carbs problem... need help
 

I am at the stage of trying to start the engine, a 2.2T with Zeniths. It just dont. In fact, it’s firing, for 2-3 seconds erratically, then it shuts off. So i know i have fire. But the timing might be way off. Or its a mixture air/fuel problem.

Details:
-4lbs of fuel pressure reading on the regulator. Cant go lower.
-gas is leaking at the gasket between the muffler and the headers!!!!! Any clue on this? Are my carbs soaked with fuel??? Anything to do with the needle valves?

Not real familair with the Zieneth but I would say you have a Needle Valve/ Float problem. Causing a lot of fuel to dump into the cylinder.... Be careful... Do you have a filter before the Carbs to catch/keep dirt out of the Neddle Valves...

keep a fire extinguisher handy while you figure this out. look down the carb throats and see all the gas drooling out. the float valves are leaking by. either dirt, worn out, or too much pressure. 4 pounds is too much. get a better regulator. 3 pounds is max.

Ok guys, i checked the needle valves because headers keep flooding in gas.

Neither of the four needle valves were working properly, i guess. When i depress the little ball on the bottom, should i see the needle point coming out at the top???? I guess that it should??? Well it doesnt.

Would that be the reason why the headers are soaked with gas? That causing the engine to be overfed with gas????
