Pertronix wiring question

Hello all, I received a Pertronix Ignitor II for my 1973(.5) 911T for Christmas and have been reading up on the installation on here, but got a bit baffled by the black wire. I read that the black wire just replaces the points black wire, however my car the points black wire goes to a Y out of which one wire goes into the harness that feeds this box

The other wire goes into another Y with one side going to the coil and the other side going into the Perma-Tune. Is it correct to just hook the black wire up to the same Y as the current points, or is something else strange going on here?

For the red wire I am planning to juts use one of the bottom two of the fuse blocks from the picture above, as those are switched 12V. Any other comments, suggestions, warnings (and yes I have read the negative comments on the Pertronix as well, and willing to take the risk for now.)

This drawing should make it clear.

That diagram is what confused me. I'm guessing the PermaTune is wired differently than the Porsche unit since the wire to the coil is shared with the wire to the points on my installation, but the diagram shows them being separated.

The OEM Bosch CD box is the same as the Permatune. You can use either and not change the wires in the plug.
