Sunvisors from other cars?
I've been looking at DIYing some repair to my puffy sun visors. I was just checking out used parts on ebay and noticed that there might be other pcars (like from a 928) that have sun visors with similar (if not the same) mounting as my 80s Carrera.
Has anyone tried this before? Seems like it may be a reasonable, cheaper option to fix the puffy sun visor issue. Plus, the newer sunvisors (from like a late 80s or early 90s pcar) seem to look more quality. I'm not so concerned with my car being 'all original' - but I understand for some this option may not be attractive! Anyway let me know what you think! Thanks, Derek

I saved the visors from my old '78 Scirocco and my '84 Jetta. The ones from the Jetta were just slightly smaller but fit well, so I'm using them while I work out how I'm going to repair my originals. If I remember correctly, I just had to spread the 2 part opening in the visor end in order to accommodate the slightly thicker mounting rod.
