Correct Washer for Trailing Arm to Body
A few of my bolts and washers got mixed up during cleaning and I need to know if this is the correct washer to go on the trailing arm bolt that connects to the body on my 86 cab. The inner diameter is correct for the bolt, and the outer diameter is larger than all other washers and would fit in that location. I replaced the old rubber bushings with ER sealed mono-balls.
The illustration and description on the PET does not help... Does anyone know? Thanks! (the ruler is in inches, not centimeters) http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1357955821.jpg |
I am in a similar situation. Did you ever determine the correct location for this washer?

If you're referring to item 5 in this diagram from PET, (http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/853734-87-carrera-trailing-arm-am-i-missing-parts.html) my '87 doesn't have any washer there at all, and a couple of fellow Pelicans confirmed that theirs had none either. Not sure if that helps you or just confuses the issue... Could that washer be the one that holds the bottom of the shock absorber to the trailing arm?
