Subwoofer 911

Hi, has anyone installed a sub in a P 911?
If yes, where? Other than the trunk space, I don't see where one would go.
I like to here the sound of the motor, but I've always had subs in all my cars.
I'm installing a new sound system, so now would be a good time to check my options.
Thank you in advance.

I have observed installs in a few places. One is to remove the spare and install it there (be sure and get AAA , another is a small custom enclosure behind the front seats that sits small. I myself am looking at options, but will likely go with the spare removal. Do some searching on the forums and you should find multiple photos as well. Good luck.

PO had a customized FG box installed as rear seats but inside are 2 8" Kicker subs and a sound bar at the rear headrest. It looks decent and last time I tested it sounds loud but only used it once as I prefer the sound of a raw engine with sports exhaust. I'm in the process of taking it out and restoring to original state as I just purchased a Blaupunkt Monterey. Even it its not working, I just want to bring it back to its original look.

On the picture below you will see seats are kinda seating high and the subs are covered by the carpet.

I will consider the spare place, it's hard to find any "flat" spots in the drunk, where the sub can rest.
I installed the amp under the passenger's side because of this.
I've heard that the stock spare isn't really reliable anyways.
Thanks.

nineball built his own woofer box. Worth the read, even if you do not go this route, given his attention to detail and knowledge.

new audio install

Right now I'm installing two 12 subs in place of the rear seats. No cutting or modification that can not be reversed. And best of all, they are not visible with the backs down. Have to take them out to install carpet and wire them. Amplifiers will go in the trunk, possibly in the smuglers hole.

If you're not a bass whore, a powered sub under the passenger seat is the way to go.

Infinity makes self powered sub that fits in trunk without taking up all of the room, and can be easily removed if needed.

Denial leads down a dark path.

Admitting being a whore is the first step toward recovery.

crutchfield has a few self-powered subs that will fit under your seat. neither of these are more than 3.5" tall.

I've had 2 of those bass links over the years. Fantastic sound fit in the floor behind the passenger seat.

The story of my tag name was 10 years ago I got my son a Les Paul for Christmas. When we changed computers I had to choose a new name for some reason. As he was sitting in his room wailing away and all the good p-car names were taken I thought Les Paul the Porsche of Guitars. But so is a Fender Strat or Tele. Anyway I don't even have a stereo in either of the p-cars but that infinity was nice.
