Oil lines restoration
I have been reading about the different methods of reshaping or uncrushing the hard oil lines to the front oil cooler. I decided to have a go at it. A friend of mine has the fittings, compressor and torches to do it so here are a few photos of the master at work. The results were amazing and looked practically direct from the factory except for the age. We used compressed air around 80lbs with his special fittings and two or three torches depending on how deep or big the crushed area was.

If he's that good with the torch....have him install an air valve so you can blow down the oil on a change....

Are you suggesting to add a valve so that the old oil could be evacuated from the hard lines during an oil change?

Yes. Here's what Elephant Racing has on their finned oil lines: ER finned oil lines link.

Anybody have a source for threaded caps in the correct size to cap off an oil line?
