Fuel Expansion Tank Chamber

Any defaults if I remove the Fuel Exansion Tank Chamber on my 82 911?

Why? It's part of the vapor recovery system/emissions system and is very passive. Are your other components missing or damaged?

edit: I just saw your thread on the AC dryer so it sounds like you're trying to clean things up. The AC is one thing, the fuel evaporation system is another. Any breaks in the evaporation system will cause vapor to escape into the air or into you vehicle. It may look like a clunky system, but it serves a purpose even though it has no effect on performance. Leave it alone if it's all intact and functioning. Also, since you live in California and you have an 82 911, you are subject to smog checks and the evaporation system is mandatory to pass the smog inspection--assuming the tech can identify it.

I've taken a ton of stuff out of my car (AC, CIS etc) but left that in. As Ossieblue said it's passive, doesn't weigh anything and keeps gas vapors from getting into the atmosphere. Not much downside in leaving it be.

Along the way, my aftermarket slantnose had the evap tank and windshield washer tank removed by a PO without any consideration for it's consequences. Needless to say, my garage has had the smell of gas since I bought the car last year. I'm now in the process of re-installing the evap tank. I wouldn't recommend removing it.
