Any reccommended service shops in West Texas/Southeastern New Mexico?
Anyone in West Texas area that can point me to a knowledgeable wrench in the area? The closest dealership I can find is either in Albuquerque or the Dallas area....I've got some electrical problems just made worse by one in El Paso, any suggestions are appreciated.

Man, That's really out in the dark fields of the republic. I bet you can count the 911's in Alpine, Texas on one hand and have five digits left over. I seem to recall there use to be a Porsche dealership in El Paso. If one gets as far as Albuquerque I'd recommend Russ Kelso of Precision Motorcar Investments (I believe his shop is in Corrales on the north side of Albuquerque). I don't have his phone number handy, but will post it later. I'm not sure I'd go to a dealership with an early model 911. Cheers, Jim

Jim, thanks for the replys....willl look into the shop in Albuq. I had found that one with a search, but was crossing my fingers for something closer....then again, it IS the outer reaches here in West Texas
 And yep, you'd have four fingers left anyway On the dealership in El Paso, the word is that it was shut down for some reason a couple of years ago and that sort of dried up the prospects for getting any work done.....I did find one shop that would take it, but after almost setting the car on fire fixing the electrical, needless to say I'm still looking...oh well...Thanks again for the contact numbers, appreciate it. |
