Lifting with a forklift

Anyone know if it's possible to lift one of these cars with a forklift without damaging anything? I'm assuming some sort of rig would have to be made, I'm not suggesting putting the forks up against the pan, I just wanted to ask around and see if anyone had dome anything like this.

When I bought one of my 928s it was loaded on the trailer with a fork lift. It was pretty beautiful to see a 928 lifted above my head over ten feet. They reinforced the bottom pan runners with pine 2x6's and picked the car up with those instead of just the forks on the under pans. A fork lift with extra long forks and welded movable stationing points would essentially be a car lift in some way. You would just have to make sure that it's secure and that the car is supported under the correct lifting/jacking points. I've considered doing this myself due to not having a lift and not wanting to pay $2,000 for one.

Yeah, I figured there would be some kind of wooden frame as sort of a lifting rack. I guess build it to hit the front and rear torsion bar points?

The reason I'm asking is I'm running out of garage space, and I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to put cars in sections of pallet racking in a warehouse or something. I love the idea of rack storage for cars, just trying to figure out if it's feasible.

I own bought a 914 from a junkyard. Without any prep, they fork lifted lifted onto my open trailer with no harm to the 914.

Sorted out the engine wiring and got it back on the road.
