Urgent! Front Strut replacement ?

Pelicanheads,
I am in the middle of replacing my ancient Boge front shocks with new Bilsteins. Old inserts out okay, new shock in okay, but the plastic shield, rubber bumber, and dust cover are bored for the narrow Boge shock shaft and not the much thicker Bilstein shaft. Is is possible the Bilstiens don't need the shield, rubber bumper and dust cover. Or do I need to get these parts?
Thanks.
CL

Chris,

You should have gotten dust covers with the inserts. I did. Also, did you get the wrenches for the nuts? Comes free from Bilstein and most parts houses will include them...

The Bilstein HQ is not far from you, its in Bradley/Windsor Locks area I believe...

Joe,
First, thanks for your help.
I received from PP the insert (with large threaded nut for strut), the dust cover (big green bell cover over the top of the insert), little rubber washer, and lock nut. That's it.
Same as you?
