Which you prefer, Bosch or NGK?

Which sparkplugs you prefer, NGK Bosch, or other (which?)

If you changed recently, was there a reason for this or you just wanted to test other brand?

Can't give you the answer that you probably want, but here goes; I'm having good luck w/ Bosch in my SC, using recomended plugs, a LOT of Porsche mechanics like NGKs, however, in 911s.

It would be hard to say which is better unless someone actually ran both and had problems w/ one and not the other. I'm curious to see if any mechanics or shop owners chime in here w/ some semi-scientific results.

I use NGK on my turbo...

I had SAAB 9000 Turbo that had problems with any other plugs than NGK, so i kinda trust them....

after using bosch forever, i just switched to NGK. the bosch seemed to be prone to fouling more than i thought they should, especially the platinums, so we'll see how the NGKs work. the iridiums are supposed to be hard to foul. most of my racer customers use NGK.

I only used NGK in my 72 911E and now my '86 Carrera. Also use them in my MGB and Austin Healey Sprite.

Never tried NGK's in my 911, but use them in most of my motorcycles. I'd be surprised if there is really much difference between similar NGK and Bosch plugs (discounting some of the tricky platinum types.)

I don't worry much about spark plugs. They're cheap as dirt, and I replace them when they show the slightest bit of degradation.
Considering the environment they have to work in, I think a spark plug is a pretty amazing piece for the money paid.

I've never had a lick of trouble with either. I stay away from platinums. Using NGK right now.

BP6ES in the 73MFI, Bosch in the Carrera, have had good luck with both.
