83 911SC. Starter wire connection question

Pulled the engine and transmission to have the Trany rebuilt recently. Got it all back together but not sure I have the yellow wires hooked up correctly on the starter. I have a heavy yellow wire and another yellow with a blue tracer. I know the heavy yellow wire goes on the top other wise the car doesn't crank. So my question is does the yellow wire with blue tracer go on the bottom of the starter or does it also go on the top? I think it is for the cold start circuit and car doesn't seem to want to start cold. Looks like in the wiring diag. That one side is 15 and the other is 50? Not sure what is what on the starter. Both the top and bottom have multiple male plugs. Presently I have the yellow with blue tracer on the bottom. That's what I get for not taking a picture or writing it down when I pulled it apart.

Any help would be appreciated.

The yellow wires actually go together, the one with the tracer goes to the thermotime switch on the drivers side chain box, then on to the CSV. That way you get cranking voltage to the CSV when the thermotime switch is closed.

The big yellow wire goes to top terminal (#50) and the yellow/blue wire goes to bottom terminal (#16). If you like to see some pictures recently posted search for 'starter wiring'.

Thanks for the replies. Not sure who is correct? anyone else have any input. I just might try the 1st answer to see if it will start cold.

For a factory starter Boy is correct, I'm sorry I was thinking the hi-torque where you use a double spade to join the two yellow wires.

Tony is correct for later cars. Early cars like my 1973 had both yellow wires on 50, but later starters had 2 terminals, 50 for the wire from the ignition, and 16 for the warm up circuit. Follow Tony's advice if your starter has both terminals.
