Used Porsche brokers

Wayne's topic about brokering used Porsches got me wondering about a fellow that used to offer quite a nice service. His name was Dave (don't remember his last name), and he operated a company called Driven By Design, located in Carmel if memory serves. This was back in 1989-1990 that I dealt with him--I couldn't afford a 911 (I was 19 at the time) but he found me a nice 944 Turbo. Customers would sign up for a one-time, monthly, or annual service that was comprised of aggregating tons of national newspaper classified ads (this was before the Internet / Web), a fixed amount of telephone consultation time, a cool binder with PPI sheets and other information helpful to prospective buyers, and a pretty good video called "Buying a Used 911". I think he made a very nice living doing what he loved to do (I recall him purchasing a new 1989 911 Speedster at the time). Anyone else remember Dave or deal with him? Wayne, it sounds something like what you're describing. Lance.
