i am a new 911 owner and want to sprint and hill climb it. The car is a 1979 sc and I have just fitted a 3.2 carrera engine into it. The problem I have is the break peddle seems to be a lot higher than the throttle and clutch peddle. Is this normal? There is no way I could toe and heel and moveing my foot from the throttle to break requires a lift up then over so my knee hits the steering wheel. Has anyone done any adjustment to the peddle to lower it? Any help would be most appreciated.

I can't resist. It's "brake pedal."
There's an adjustment underneath the floorboards that should help you with the pedal travel... -Wayne

it will take some getting used to even after you adjust the pedal, driving shoes definately help heel/toeing.

I had this same problem, I adjusted the throttle pedal as far as I could and it still wasn't high enough. I cut a 3/4'' thick piece of wood to the shape of the throttle pedal, painted it black and placed it under my racing pedal. This shimmed the pedal to the correct height for me to heel and toe and works a treat.
