You have to unload the spring plate first. Jack car. Take rear wheel off. Disconnect shock lower bolt. Remove lower rear bolt on torsion bar cover. Spring plate is now untensioned-mark or measure(or both) angle. Now proceed to remove bolts. This is covered in every shop manual on 911's. If you do not have one-Buy one.

You'll need to put a jack under the spring plate in order to remove the bottom bolt (and spacer) on the bushing cover plate. Once that and the shock are unbolted lower the jack to remove the tension. Then scribe a line ( on the body) across the top of the SP so you'll know where it was before you remove it.

also before loosening the arm to plate bolts, scribe a line around the rear end of the plate onto the arm for reassembly lineup purposes. i would mark the angle of the arm onto the body after separating it from the arm. there can still be tension until the last bolt is out.

The bottom rear bolt in the retainer is the spring plate stop. It keeps it from allowing the suspension to go into full droop. With the rear in the air, disconnect the plate from the trailing arm marking the position of the bolts and eccentrics (this is your rear wheel alignment). Place a floor jack under the end of the spring plate and lift it slightly so you can remove the stop bolt. Then lower the arm and all tension is removed. You can then remove the other three bolts and replace the plate. Good luck!
