Rear Brakes
I finally got around to getting the rear brake lines changed out on my 74 today, got them out of the car, found +73 embossed on them, I am assuming that would make them original to the car. If the new set I put on last that long, the next brake line change wont have to happen until 2053.

Except that anything made in the 70's was designed to last 30+ years, 80's for 20 years, 90's for 10+ years and things made these days last 5+ years if you are lucky. At this rate by 2050 most things will be worn out before you fit them, planned obsolescence. However this theory could be my 'head in the sand' approach to all new Porsches which I regard with distain mainly because I cannot afford one, and they are just such beautiful marvels of engineering.
