1970 Clock wiring query

I'm trying to get my clock working. Only the light and ground were connected and there is a taped off 'hot' wire inside the dash that should presumably connect to a spade connector on the back of the clock. However, there's no obvious place to connect it, which seems a bit strange. I've checked out a few related posts on this forum and also one of the Pelican Parts technical articles, but none look exactly like my clock. Where should the hot wire connect to?

Many thanks
Paul

That would explain it. I will see if I can track down some clock guts.
Thanks
