New owner, late intro

I just learned how to post pic's so I thought I'd do a formal intro. I got the car 3 1/2 years ago, so I'm a little late.

I got the car off E-bay, I saw the ad when I got to work in S. America, it was from a fellow Canadian and the car was 20 miles from home. I had searched for a Porsche for about 6 months and finally the car I want shows up in my back yard and I'm 5000 miles away and the buyer was desperate to sell. I called the guy at 7:00 in the morning and bs'ed with him for over an hour, got a good feel vibe from the guy and he sent me the PPI he had done 5 month earlier on the car. I got the wife to pay him the next day and there I was the new owner of an 87 930. I knew I did all the wrong things, no PPI of my own, bought site unseen, and then I had to work for a month before I got home. That was tough.
The car was "as advertized" and I still can't believe its mine sometimes, you know the feeling.
The day I picked the car up a high school buddy lost his fight with cancer, he was a car guy and would have loved the 930, so I call her Keith.

Tell us more about how Keith has treated you over the last 3.5 years, considering you seem hesitant about the lack of not having had your own PPI nor seen it in person before purchase...

When I got the car there was a switch under the seat that would shut off the fuel pumps on over boost or over rev and it was faulty, sometimes it would start and sometimes not, after that was fixed it's worked great. I put the 930S wheel on soon after I got the car and have since put a RarelyL8 exhaust and a wevo short shift kit. I had a buddy weld 2 intercoolers together for a poor mans large cooler and its in the works to get a bigger turbo.
Haven't put that many miles on Keith but plan on new tires and a lot more miles and smiles this summer.SmileWavy
