Targa quarter window chrome, 69-73

I am putting on new window stops on the quarter windows. Does anyone know what is used for the two brass rivets? Any help is appreciated. Thanks -Rich

You must be refering to the fixed vent windows. I use my rivit gun & a home made bucking bar that fits in the channel. If you don't have one, take a ride out to a small airport in your area & find a F.B.O. that does maintenance. I am sure one of the A&P's would be happy to work on something different.

You are going to have to do some double flush riveting. The rivet must be flush on both sides or it will interfere with window operations. I wll take a photo of some rivet sets, the gun & some bucking bars.

If you haven't done this before,I would suggest getting someone who knows how to do it. You can ruin the window channel and the new parts.

First you have to take the window frame out and separate the quarter window frame from the main frame. Then take it to someone who knows what they are doing

pretty sure the conical rivet head goes towards the main window channel and then you flatten it on the quarter window side. I did it some time ago and the pictures I took are blurry along with my memory. Make sure and adjust your top stop so you don't have to do this again.
