Thumbs up Thanks to Clewett Engineering

I wanted to give a public thanks to Richard at Clewett Engineering. I had a question and left a message at Clewett. Being late in the day I didn't expect any response and planned to call again on Monday. I was quite surprised to have Richard calling to see what I needed a few hours later (and outside of business hours). I explained my dilema and he explained the solution. I can say how this speaks volumes of his business, and I assure you I will look to his products first based on this interaction. Thanks Richard!

Just so the thread has some technical value here goes. I purchased a set of plug wires via our sponsor here, and they arrived today (super quick, thanks Pelican). When they arrived found that the dust grommets were much to high, and the actual resistors seemed to be a bit longer. I made the assumption that I had simply ordered the incorrect parts and called Pelican. After talking with Pelican, they referred me to Richard at Clewett. Turns out the dust grommets are adjustable (they just don't really look like it), and even more embarrassing the adjustment is clearly listed on the box in Step #5 of the instructions. Apparently I didn't get that far in my reading....after all, how hard can it be to replace plug wires? Here are the physical differences to show I'm at least not entirely insane. (beru on left, Clewett on right)

I'll give a second double thumbs up for Richard. I purchased my PMO efi set up from him and he was very helpful in the somewhat unique set up on my 3.6. When I later found I had a couple differently configured connectors, he sent me the correct ones with a prepaid return label so I could return the original ones. Class act!

Here's the set up:

Triple thumbs up to Richard at Clewett.
My story... Ordered 12 plug wires for a 3.2 in my 74 track car. They arrived on a a Wed before a 3 day event. My fault, I did order late. Wrong wires sent. Called Clewett at 4:30pm and spoke with Richard. While calming me down, he said he will make them NOW and overnight them. Received next day, put them in and was on the road to make my Fri/Sat/Sun event at VIR.

And some companies wonder why they never seem to get full market share.
This is an example of a good company...one that will not only survive...but will grow.
Nice to have Clewett around.

I'm local to Richard, when I needed assistance on a Sat ...he says come by. His products are priced competitively ...customer support excellent- especially after 'the' sale.

Richard is the best. I purchased my EFI from him and am very pleased. I have always used his plug wires on my old 911, as well and found them to be great products.
