recommended reading?
 

Many of us have early cars we are trying to restore and/or improve. I've read various posts where people recommend updating various parts from newer cars to older cars, such as brakes, suspension, etc... Do the various parts manuals give enough information to determine which parts will work, or does most of this information come from hands on experience? Which books/manuals are a must for the home library?

Gentlemen!

I did a poor job of explaining what I was looking for. Sort of an index of what books are good for what purpose. For example, BA's handbook is excellent for anything dealing with engines. He doesn't go into as much detail on suspension and brakes. Are there any books that deal with brakes, suspension, etc.. as well as the Performance Handbook deals with engines?
