911 seat belt bolts

Hi Folks
Installing 3 point seat belts. The bolts that hold the lap belt that came with kit do not fit the above the tunnel two holes. Mine were missing. Anyone know the bolt size for these bolts. I called the bird parts but the PET catalogue does not show, and they do not know.
Any help??
Bob

Don't know the year of your car, or if it makes a difference, but when I changed the belts in the '69E, the bolts I used came out of a mid-80s VW Jetta.

Seat Belts bolts are standarized through out the world as a SAE Grade 5 7/16" fine thread. Do not get harder (i.e grade 8 etc) as they do not have the correct properties.

Any decent hardware store or FLAPS should have them.

I went through the same process on my '88. I could not find the proper size at any of my local hardware stores.

I did find the correct bolts identified in PETS and order them from here. If I remember correctly, the length was different depending on the location.

I also had a difficult time locating where the buckle was located for the front driver and passenger. PO installed "I" bolts through floor board and I latered learned that the buckle is bolted to seats.

Try HarryD's recommendation first and if they do not fit let me know and I will find the part number from my previous orders.
