911SC CIS evolution???
 
I am wondering if someone could educate me on the evolution of the CIS fuel injection system. I have a 78 911sc which has no little black box under either seat. It seems later models do. Is there a resource or link that will explain the changes made over the years to the system.

I honestly know nothing. Any help appreciated.
