Barrett Jackson Fever

Ok, I didn't actually buy it AT Barrett Jackson, but I think I bought it BECAUSE of Barrett Jackson...

Our new "tow" vehicle....(I use that term loosely).

Nice '58. My stepdad just sold a clean, no rust, original 68K mile NM '58. It was mine if I wanted it, but I've been spending all my money on the 911.

This summer's project will be to replace carpets and seat cover with custom interior.

Also, the truck bed had fresh lumber a few years ago but varnish now needs another coat before it is too late.

Compared to my 911 build, this should be a breeze to clean it up to show condition.
(I think I spent more on rims, tires and dash for my 911 than I did on this entire truck).

Can't wait to get it home.

Sweet! I have a '55 2nd series with original 285 V-8 I'm working on (in my spare time - the Pcar always gets priorty). But I've got a lot work ahead of before it looks anywhere near as nice as yours.

Oops, I did it again. I bought another vehicle. Some of you will know where this is headed...

I can't wait to finish this next build and show up at the track with my (by then) newly completed 73 RSR conversion in tow behind my wife's Truck/corvette converted resto mod. Shhh. Don't tell her

P.S.
I'm going to start a thread on another forum soon for those who are interested in the details.

P.P.S.
What you see in these two pictures combined cost less than my 73 911 project with its boxes of parts...and everyone agree that I got a really good deal on that 911 project car. Every time I see a corvette drive by now I can't help but think "nice donor."

This is the last picture of this contraption to pollute the porsche forum (at least until I have an RSR in tow behind it).

Agreed. Those wheels are going to make a for a rough ride.

Agreed. Wheels won't fit the vette spindles anyway, so plenty of spares to sell and parts to swap, decisions to make. How would my RSR look rolling on 22s ?
