opinion

Just wondering on this, I need new carpets. I have charcoal colered panels and rear seats. My front seats are black recaros. I love red and wonder if I got red loop carpet set if that contrast would be too edgy? I've never seen such a contrtast but seems like I might like it. I have had an Audi with the oposite(red seats and door panels with black carpets and loved that car.
What do you think?
My car is also red.

Might ask if anyone that has that color scheme to post pics. A picture is worth a 1000 words.

You can't buy happiness, but you can buy car parts which is kind of the same thing.

I think that the red would look great. But then again, I am amongst the few that loves a red interior

I did it.
It came out pretty nice so far. I'm not finished till tonight. But my thoughts so far are this.
- had to be custom made for my car and year so took about a month which I knew it would, no problem.
- the carpet came a little off in the color I thought it would be. It's more maroon than I expected. Between maroon and red. But I like it. It's making my decision to change the color of my car. I had been on the fence and this has done it for me. It will be either gray or dark cherry red metalic.
- The carpet had a backing that I didn't expect. It looks like home style backing and I was very very nervous about how it might install. I even decided I was going to try it with a heat gun(didn't have too). But it loosened up with the contact adhesive cement when applied. And seems to do pretty well but not quite as well as appbiz carpet kits i've used in the past.
- my initial decision to go with such a contrasting color combo is spot on cool to me. I love it! It's edgy and eye catching. It might be too much for some, but it's very atractive to me. I'd like some feedback opinions from others though.
- kit came with everything including door pocket carpet and back seat tops. I'll install thr rest tonight and post finish pics tomorrow barring some unforseen crazy event which is possable with 7 kids.
Here is a sample shot of seats layed on top to see.

I'm fully digging it. No regrets.
Just need to put the seats back in (and the engine).

I'm digging it too. Look forward to finished pics. Where did you buy the carpet from?

Regards Mike.

Finished(not the door pockets and rear seat backs yet).
But then, while installing the carpet threshold trim........!
I have extra to repair. Bummed though.
Still need to clean the seats.
