Engine no turn over after re-install

Very quick ideas to check please.

87 3.2L with G50 tranny.

Engine was out, repaired, valve timing done correctly, so engine turns over easy at that time.

installed plugs, flywheel, pressure plate, engine still turns over at that time.

Mated G50 tranny on the engine, installed engine in the car, started it up, but engine does not turn over at all. Stuck.

What are some things I need to check...

I will throw an easy one.

Will it turn with a wrench in the front pulley?

Is the shifter connected to tranny? Possibly is in high gear?

Ring pinion - starter - solenoid properly aligned, working properly?

Dead battery?

The main starter hot lead? Watch out, that sucker is live if the battery is connected.

ring gear on with the tone ring? happens all to many times. you can hear the starter engage but the starter motor does not turn the engine? is that correct? or do you hear the starter running but the engine is not turning. can you turn the engine by hand or rock the car with the trans in gear?

Did you put the clutch plate on backwards and jam it up in the guide tube? Did it turn once and then stop?

We had this happen on an RSA after an install.

Very difficult to get the trans back off. We had to have a mechanic come over with an air chisel, and hammer it free.

Well the engine is back out so we will see ... stay tuned.

Found problem. I replaced one of the oil galley plugs sitting behind the flywheel and the new plug sticks out just enoug to intefere with the flywheel. Grinding it off a bit solved the problem.

Now, on to why no oil pressure when turning over with the starter and DME off.
