...pretty certain i got the engine and tranny mated well, and i am just about done with complete re-install of motor of 1986 930, when i realize the one picture i didnt get was of the clutch down below before i release the tension...also, my clutch pedal is on the floorboard, springing back down when i pull it up...have done everything according to waynes books, tech forums, etc, and would really appreciate help...thanks...

no problem, just follow the instructions on clutch cable replacement in the tech articles or your repair manual.

Remember it is two stage process:
1. gap at the clutch arm with out cable is 1.20MM, with cable and tensioned it needs to be reduced to 1.00MM, have a helper keep the pedal up after you install the cable to the clutch helper arm. 2. the difference between pressed and unpressed clutch pedal must be 25.0MM +/- 0.5MM, this is adjusted at the floor board stop ( that metal plates with two allen bolts and a rubber cushion. You defnitely need a helper here as you sound off the readings below. That is it, clutch should release and engage half way on the pedal throw. Jim |
thanks guys, just had a helluva time prying the omega spring into place...now waiting on a helper for the adjustment...cheers!!!

Just use a BFS and pop it over.
When you remove and install the cable you will push it over to make it easier, a hint :D |
