I thought by disconnecting the wires underneath both seats I could get the door buzzer to stop. I realized later those were for seat heaters option. I know someone here can tell me how to get that annoying buzzer to stop. Thanks in advance!!

I am fairly certain that the door buzzer has it's own relay (or is it's own relay) behind the fuel gauge. Pull the relay, and no more buzzer!

In my car, the door buzzer is in the front trunk near the vents/hosing on the driver's side. Just pull out the black block-noise-making-device-from-Hell, and no more buzzer.

That's what I did. Reach in through the trunk. Do this with the door open, that way it's easy to tell which relay to pull. the one that's vibrating!
I made one mistake though. I put the relay in the glove compartment. As it turns out, this is just a temporary storage place. You will never need this thing again, so it can go in a box in your garage. ------------------ '83 SC |

Guys,
I don't think the buzzer had anything to do with the doors being open ... or not in '72-'75, as that was the ERA OF THE INFAMOUS SEATBELT INTERLOCK AND WARNING BUZZER!!! You know, one of those great safety ideas from Washington, DC that was about as popular as PROHIBITION! And, for which the public outcry was so loud, it was repealed! Replaced by warning buzzers with time-out features! ------------------ Warren Hall 1973 911S Targa 1992 Dodge Dakota 5.2 4X4 parts hauler |

My (admittedly hazy) recollection is that the buzzer had no 'time out' feature, and that it operated when the door was open. If I am wrong, well, I suppose theoretically that's possible. (winking smily face goes here)
